EABL Board Announcement – Resignation of Andrew Cowan and Appointment of Dayalan Nayager
The Board announces the resignation of Mr. Andrew Cowan as a Director of the Company with effect from 1st March 2021.
Mr. Andrew Cowan was the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Director of EABL, a position he stepped down from on 31st December 2020 to take up the role of Managing Director for Africa Regional Markets.
The Board takes this opportunity to thank Andrew for his visionary leadership, guidance, strategic and vibrantcontributions at the Board level, and wishes him the very best for the future.
The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Dayalan Nayager as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1st March 2021. Dayalan is the Managing Director for Diageo Great Britain. In this role he is responsible for Diageo’s home market. He is based in London and is a member of the Diageo Europe Executive team.
He has extensive experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry, having previously held leadership roles across Commercial, Supply Chain, R&D and Marketing positions for Mars and Heinz in Africa. Dayalan is passionate about developing strong talent and is known for his ability to implement a structured and disciplined approach that drives stronger performance and sustainable growth.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management from the University of South Africa and an MBA from the University of Oxford.
